Emerging from China’s burgeoning electric car scene, the Huawei Eto M9 is a full-size luxury SUV that boldly declares its tech aspirations. The M9 was unveiled at Huawei’s winter conference in China, and its exterior speaks volumes about knowing what the technology is all about. Pointing to the third, the lamp compresses the flowing doors, repeatedly expanding the aerodynamic air bubble and spaciousness inside. Soon the name “Kunpeng Zhanyi” with its useful lines and predictable elements begins to be permanently anticipated.
Step inside and you’re greeted by a symphony of screens. A 15.6-inch native infotainment screen, to cover the 12.3-inch caretaker and a dedicated passenger screen, puts information within easy reach. But the visual feast does not stop there. A 75-inch AR-HUD projects vital information onto the windshield, while optional cabin metering guides you into a mobile entertainment haven.
The M9 isn’t just a spectacle of screens; It is available in both hybrid and electric versions, with prices starting at 469,800 yuan (about US$65,750) according to exchange rates at the time of writing. The M9 is highlighted to compete with SUVs from brands such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz, as well as Chinese rivals such as Nio and HiPhi. The Huawei Aito M9 is expected to be delivered first in early 2024.

The Aito M9’s exterior design boldly announces its connection to Huawei’s pioneering technology vision. Borrowing the name of the “useful technology” that debuted on the Huawei Luxeed S7 sedan, the M9 sports a promising multi-light configuration spliced with an ultra-fast LED strip. The retractable cosmetic roof handles emphasize the car’s aerodynamic ambitions, while the sloping tow line indicates spaciousness.
The pillars bear the D HIMA logo, indicating the connection to Huawei’s dedicated car showrooms. Diversified color options are catered for, with five types of holographic textures available for the M9. Aerodynamics are black, as the EV version features a child drag coefficient of 0.264 CD, and the EREV version also features a respectable drag coefficient of 0.279 CD, respectable adult.
